We had an absolute amazing experience with Southern right charters. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. They also provided amazing insight into the whales that we saw. We were lucky enough to see about six southern right whales very close as well as the rare brindle too! We would definitely recommend their charters to anyone looking to have this amazing experience

Whole team were amazing, there was tea, coffee and biscuits available upon arrival for the early morning run. We had a safety briefing before boarding the boat and headed off into Hermanus Bay. We were fortunate to spot whales within 15 mins and viewed 8 x Southern Right Whales in various locations in the bay. The experience meant we saw these magnificient mammals up close for well over an hour before heading back. The crew made the trip exciting, interesting and informative. Thoroughly recommend you take the time to do this particularly if your struggling to see the whales from the shoreline.

They helped us spot whale activity early, explained behaviours like breaching, tail slapping, and fin waving, and made sure no one missed a thing. We saw a mother and calf come right up to the boat, whales waving and playing, and two flawless breaches — a total dream come true.
